The Big Story - Spring Term 2009
Visit By Tim Rylands
Classes Enjoy Lesson Taught By Mr Rylands
On Monday May 18th, pupils in Classes 1 & 2 and Classes 5 & 6 were treated to a special lesson taught by renowned personality Mr Tim Rylands. Mr Rylands firstly saw Years 1 & 2 and together they explored climbing a spiral staircase and amazingly they found a dinosaur nest at the top! The children then slid down the staircase, using appropriate verbs to describe the journey! They also enjoyed writing and drawing all their ideas during their following English lessons. In the next session, Mr Rylands inspired, enthused, challenged and most importantly humoured the children into producing descriptive pieces of writing through his own charismatic way of teaching. As shown (above) pupils were intensely involved and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
